So as I am sure you have noticed some changes to the Provo Eats page. We have spent a lot of time trying to make it match up with todays industry standards. We are also branching out and serving new markets very soon so we are going through a kind of re-branding. Just to let you know we are still the same ol' Provo Eats so if you call you will still get me on the phone. Though we may have to hire several other phone people in the near future to help me but they will be working with me and you will still get the same great service you expect. We are growing and hope that our restaurants grow with us. We hope to be serving more areas near Provo and Orem very soon and are in talks with several potential restaurant partners. The only issue is making sure that drivers keep moving and making money. So if you know a restaurant owner in American Fork, Spanish Fork, Pleasant Grove, Lehi, Springville, and any other surrounding areas let them know about us and we will do our best to get this show on the road (literally)

Thanks so much for all the support in our first year and a half we are greatly thankful to our customers, drivers and restaurants for all the hard work and love!

Hey so I have a surprise for you all! I was getting pretty hot and tired while walking around down town Provo today speaking with restaurants and setting up appointments. I decided to stop and have some food. I stopped in at Rocco's Tacos and Wings for some fish tacos. I had actually already eaten a Taco earlier from Blue Pablano anothe of my favorites. But guilty of it or not I indulged. They owner was there and he came out of the truck and spoke with me for a bit. So after getting my tacos and being happy with that it was made even better by the fact that I can now deliver those tacos to you!!

This week we want to highlight one of our restaurants that we have loved to work with! They have been around for 50+ years and have served thousands upon thousands of great meals. We are talking about El Azteca Taco Shop in Provo UT. Its always a pleasure calling in and speaking to Carlos or one of the other wonderful people at the restaurant. They make some of the best and most affordable tacos in town but that is only the start. My personal favorite swaps between the Mole Platter and the  Fajita Salad. Vegetarians do not fear! They have a great selection of  vegetarian meals and you can turn anything into a vegetarian or even vegan meal by request. They always get the order right and never keep you waiting so order online today for takeout or delivery! They have opened in a new location this year so if you where wondering where they are here is there address and picture of the new location! Thank you all for supporting small business like this one!

Address: 46 east Bulldog Blvd Provo UT

Remember we will be featuring a new restaurant every week!

Another record day for Bam Bam's BBQ! They spend hours smoking their meats (starting around midnight the previous day) so its easy to see how they can run out. We are amazed at the growth in popularity for such a new restaurant. Just wanted to give a shout out to the wonderful crew at Bam Bam's and let them know their BBQ ranks at the top of this southern boys list! Keep it up Cameron and Crew!

Did you know we have a Yext account? Give us a great review and help a small business grow! We have had a great day in the office today. Got the finishing touches on the new grocery menu, but will keep adding new requested items as they come. The primary store we use is Macey's so if you know they have chances are we will put it on the site. Want Dinner and a Movie? We will soon be adding movies to the grocery menu picking ones we know are on sale at the local store. We will go buy the movie for ya then pick up the food. We will also have some choice of used dvds! If you wanna get rid of your old dvds that you have watched a thousand times we might buy them and resell them on our site! All you have to do is sit back and relax. Look for this new option sometime next week :)

Just a short side note we will be doing a restaurant of the week starting next week! This will give you a chance to learn a little bit about a new restaurant or comment on one you already love. I will be doing a Bio of the restaurant here as well as posting some pictures of the great food!

So we have some great updates as usual. We have added tons of items to our grocery store and more to come!  Now we have almost as many options for each item as the store! We also have done some finishing touches to our site. If you find a Game Controller, Click It! You wont be disappointed...we added a semi secret game room to our site to give you something to do while your waiting for your food!! Great things here at Provo Eats as usual.

Stay tuned for more great updates this next month! We are excited to be serving the Provo and Orem areas as well as some surrounding addresses!

Anthony Tomyn's Life as a delivery driver

I never thought that i would learn so much from being a restaurant delivery driver. Most people don't think the job of "delivery guy" is very rewarding and the only ones who hold the title are punks and high school drop-outs. To be honest, its somewhat true due to the fact that most of the time the only credentials you need are to be able to drive a vehicle through the lines. But as a person who tries his best to take any little lesson he can out of a situation, I found that the lessons I learned from being a food delivery driver were more substantial than I imagined. As a self contracted driver for the restaurant delivery service Provo Eats, I only deliver for restaurants who do not do their own delivery. I am on the road all day and never actually have to work in a restaurant with a nagging boss yelling at me for losing them money some how. Now I can confidently say that I know every main street, side street, back street, and dirt street around in my town. Learning these routes are priceless to me in my every day life but especially as a food delivery driver since my goal is always to get to my location in the most efficient way. Many times things on the road just don't go your way whether it be traffic, evil traffic lights, or drivers who think there is no one else on the road. From all these daily hardships, I have learned the one virtue i believe to be the most important and that is patience. When you drive for a living, and find that you are more than slightly prone to bouts of road rage, it quickly dawns on you that spending your days like that is physically and mentally draining and unhealthy. Learning to not let things affect me as much and being patient with situations on the road has helped me with my patience in every day life. Every day I experience different obstacles and have to figure out ways to overcome them giving me more experience in solving any problem that might come my way. Working as a self contracted driver in the restaurant delivery service has broadened my mind to the world by just being out on the road and experiencing every day life with all different types of people. Being a "delivery guy" may not be a hard job, but like anything, if you look for the lessons to learn than it will be just as rewarding as any other job.

The Life and Food of a restaurant delivery service

First off my name is Robin and some of you might know me as "Robin with Provo Eats" or the guy that says "sweet potato fries" with a funny accent. I run a restaurant delivery service and online ordering websites FoodFreshFast and ProvoEats.  But really I am just a nerd who loves food and technology more than anything and hopes to bring my love for it straight to you. This will be my first real attempt at a blog so wish me luck.

I have been wanting to do this for a long time and have yet to stick with it. I think that I just get overwhelmed for a day and then the next day and then I just forget about it all together. Kinda like working out. But I think that people would really like to get to know a restaurant delivery service, from the drivers to the restaurants their are a lot of characters and stories to be heard. I will not set a specific focus for this blog yet, I just want to get it started and stick with it for now. I have been working in the food industry for about a decade and have seen so many things that I have always wanted to tell people about. This is a tough industry and there are countless Hero's that make it all come together. Starting with the prep cooks and dishwashers and ending with a delivery driver who braves the snow to get you fed. I have worked all these jobs, sometimes even many of them all in one day. For one of the largest and most well known industries people still often forget what it takes to bring that great meal to the table. I am here to tell you the how, the why, and what I love about this job.
